Any time between 00:00 and 11:59 is a.m. time, and any time between 12:00 and 23:59 is p.m. time.

Four digits have to be used to write time using the 24 hour clock. Therefore, quarter to six in the morning is written as 05:45, not 5:45.

The time at midnight is 00:00.

The time at midday is 12:00.
