Sign: ≠

Things are unequal to each other if they don’t have the same value.

For example:

7 – 2 gives a total of 5, and 4 + 2 gives a total of 6.

We can say that both examples are unequal to each other as they don’t have the same total.

We use the ≠ sign to show that things are unequal to each other.
