year

This is a unit used to measure time.

A year is equal to 365 days, or 12 months.

The first day of the year is 1 January, and the last day of the year is 31 December.

It takes one year for the Earth to go around the Sun once.

On a normal calendar, a year is 365 days. However, the Earth actually takes 365.25 days, or 365 days and a quarter, to orbit the Sun once. Therefore, every four years, we add a leap day to the calendar, 29 February.
