decimal place
Decimal place refers to a digit’s position to the right of the decimal point, namely tenth, hundredth, thousandth, and so on.
Numbers are often expressed to a specific number of decimal places or significant figures.
For example, 3.246 correct to 2 decimal places is 3.25. This means that 3 is in the Unit position, 2 is in the tenth position and 5 is in the hundredth position.
