This is the name for the angle outside the vertex of a polygon.
An exterior angle is formed by extending one of the polygon’s sides. After doing this, there is an angle between the extended side and the adjacent side. This is the exterior angle.

The adjacent exterior angle and interior angle always add up to a total of 180°.
