season

A year is divided into four seasons:

    • winter

    • spring

    • summer

    • autumn.

This happens because of the way the Earth orbits the Sun. The Earth’s incline towards the Sun changes during the year.

The Northern Hemisphere inclines towards the Sun in summer. This is why there is more daylight in summer.

The Northern Hemisphere inclines away from the Sun in winter. This is why there is less daylight in winter.
