This term is used when talking about the possibility of something happening.
For example, a snooker competition is being held in a leisure centre and Ahmed, Matthew, Huw, and Gareth are taking part.
According to the local newspaper, Ahmed has a chance of winning; Matthew has a good chance of winning; Huw has a poor chance of winning; Gareth has no chance at all.
