quadratic formula (quadratic formulae)

A quadratic formula is used to solve general quadratic equations in the form of ax² + bx + c = 0, where a, b, c are coefficients and x is the variable.

a, b and c are coefficients that vary for each equation.

We can use the equation of 2x² + 7x + 11 = 0 as an example.

Here, a = 2, b = 7, c = 11.

The formula used to solve the equation is:

     x = \frac{-b\pm\sqrt{b^2-4ac}}{2a}
