dice (die)

A common dice is in the form of a cube.

On every one of the faces of a dice, there are dots going from 1 to 6. The dots on opposite faces add up to 7:

1 + 6

2 + 5

3 + 4

A common dice in the form of a cube isn’t the only type of dice. Other polyhedrons are used as die, for example a tetrahedron (four faces) or an octahedron (eight faces).
